Family Voices
Family Voices is a national grassroots organization directed by parents of children/adults with special health care needs, and composed of families and professional friends who care about and care for children with special health care needs. Every state has a Family Voices coordinator who assists families at the local and state levels. The national Family Voices office can provide you with the name of the Family Voices coordinator in your state.

Father's Network
The National Father's Network provides information, support, and resources to fathers of children with disabilities or chronic illness. Supporting the efforts of 83 fathers' programs in the United States, the National Fathers' network publishes a bi-yearly newsletter, a monthly column in Exceptional Parent magazine.

Institute for Family-Centered Care
Family-centered care is an approach to health care that offers a new way of thinking about relationships between families and health care providers. The Institute serves as a central resource for both family members and members of the health care field.

National Center for Family Support
A great source of information about implementation of family support projects, particularly from at the state policy level.

PACER (Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights)
The mission of the PACER Center is to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the concept of parents helping parents. A great source of information about topics ranging from parent advocacy to employment strategies.

Parent Advocates.org
The Parent Advocate web site is an information nexus for resources on publicly funded education programs, policies, and schools in the United States with stories of whistleblowers working at the local level to challenge those in power who are not helping the children they are paid by our taxpayer money to serve...so begins the description of this compelling web site that confronts injustice head on.

Parents Helping Parents
The mission of Parents Helping Parents says it all: "Helping children receive the resources, love, hope, respect, health care, education, and other services they need to achieve their full potential by providing them with strong families and dedicated professionals to serve them."

Partners In Policymaking
First started by the folks of the Minnesota Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities, Partners is now a world-wide organization that helps people who experience disabilities and family members to partner with policy makers for real change.
