Storytelling

Awakening The Hidden Storyteller Within
If you are interested in learning the art of storytelling, and/or teaching your children the art of storytelling, you will enjoy Moore's (1991). Awakening the Hidden Storyteller Within: How to Build a Storytelling Tradition in Your Family. Boston: Shambhala. The book can be difficult to find. Check out one of the online resources for hard to find books such as Powell's.com, Half.com, or Amazon.com.

Community Activators
Bruce Anderson and Gina Gross are doing incredible work helping communities to become more welcoming places for all citizens. Their work stretches our imagination of what it takes to build community. By getting us to look in places we may have forgotten -- places deep inside our hearts -- they bring a new way to answer old questions. Perhaps even more to the point, they raise an entirely new set of questions. I have benefited greatly from their work about the art of storytelling.
